In my time I have seen people from all walks of life go from struggle to success. I have seen people have opportunities given to them and torn away. I have seen governments on both sides hold people back, with repressive taxes and liberalisation efforts that only made barriers we couldn’t see. I saw political parties not recognising complexities and coming up with simple solutions

I have experience in leading major parties through my two terms as National Party leader and one term as Prime Minister. I was able to achieve the outcomes I sought, through navigating officials, parliament and the private sector. I can and will do it again.

During my brief tenure as an MP and Prime Minister, I strived to deliver finances that would create a public service that focused on you. That focused on giving you what you needed to succeed. I did not do enough. I have launched Forwards! to change that!
